Sigfrido is Managing Partner and is in charge of the corporate and financial practice areas of Gross Brown. He rejoined the Firm after ten years of practice in the United States and Spain, in firms such as Shearman & Sterling LLP (New York), Cuatrecasas and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (Barcelona). He is admitted to practice law in Paraguay, in the State of New York, U.S.A. (New York State Bar) and also in the Kingdom of Spain (Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Barcelona).
As a senior lawyer in large international law firms, Sigfrido has led numerous teams working on corporate finance and M&A transactions in the U.S. and Europe.
Locally, he has advised on major financing and M&A transactions in the last 15 years, including among others the acquisition of Bebidas del Paraguay SA (Heineken) by the CCU Group of Chile, the acquisition of Banco Regional by Banco Sudameris, the PPP financing of Routes 2 and 7 for Goldman Sachs and Banco Itaú (for USD 500,000,000), the turnkey financing of the Ruta Bioceánico for UBS (USD 440,000,000) or the financing through Law Nr. 5,074 (turnkey) of the Costanera Sur for Banco Itaú (USD 130,000,000).
